YOGURT CULTURE
(2027)
What if we looked at migration the way we look at yogurt: as a living culture that transforms, blends, ferments, and creates new flavours?
Yogurt Culture plays with familiarity in absurdity and turns the stories about migration, identity and belonging inside-out & upside-down...

One day, Nasreddin Hodja takes a bucket of yogurt starter and walks down to the edge of the lake. He kneels by the water and starts spooning the yeast into the lake. Curious villagers gather around to watch him. One of them steps forward and asks, "Hodja, what on earth are you doing?"
Hodja replies with absolute seriousness: "I’m fermenting the lake into yogurt"
The villager laughs and says, "Are you out of your mind, Hodja? How could a little bit of yeast ever turn the entire lake into yogurt?"
Nasreddin Hodja smiles and says: “What if it does?”
